Jack Nicklaus, also known as the Golden Bear, was born in January 1940. He is considered one of the greatest golfers in the world with a record of 18 wins, 19 second places, and 9 third places in major championships throughout his career. He played for 25 years and participated in championships like the Masters Tournament, PGA Championship, and U.S. Open, just to name a few.
Although he’s not playing in tournaments anymore, Nicklaus devotes his time to activities like charity work, gold course design, and book-writing. He’s also a part of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, doing a lot of projects for the association. Let’s take a look back at his journey, and watch as he grew up to become a talented golfer and an amazing person.
