Radiohead is an English rock band from Oxfordshire, England. The founding members of the band are still all in the group, with the addition of another member: Clive Deamer (drums, percussion) in 2011. The original members are Colin Greenwood (bass guitar), Jonny Greenwood (lead guitar, keyboard), Ed O’Brien (guitar, backing vocals), Philip Selway (drums, backing vocals, percussion) and Thom Yorke (lead vocals, guitar, keyboard).
The band was formed in 1985, while the founding members were attending Abingdon School, an exclusive boys school in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, where they were encouraged by their music teacher. The band signed with EMI in 1991 and released their debut single Creep the year after. It became an instant hit and prompted them to release more albums in the following years. All of Radiohead’s albums sold over 30 million copies worldwide by 2011. The group continues to perform and go on tours, and even benefit concerts, they have also announced an upcoming tour in 2018.
