Heart first found prominence in the Canadian audience before becoming a music icon worldwide. Though the band’s lineup changed several times throughout their history, the core of the group remains unchanged with Ann Wilson as the lead vocalist and Nancy Wilson as backup vocalist and guitarist. Heart became a popular rock band during the mid-1970s, but encountered a decline in record sales in the early 1980s. The band made an impressive comeback in 1985 with songs and albums topping the charts towards the 1990s. With more than 35 million records sold worldwide, Heart is considered as one of the greatest rock artists of all time, earning a spot on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.

It was in 1963 when guitarist Roger Fisher and bassist Steve Fossen officially formed Heart. Ann and Nancy Wilson later joined the band. They went on hiatus towards the latter part of the 1990s, but reunited in 2002 with a new lineup.
