If you’re a fan of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, you’ll surely know Samantha Jamie Bee. She used to be the longest-serving regular correspondent of the show. But after 12 years, she left in 2015 to start her own show Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, becoming the first woman to host a late-night satire show.
Bee is a Canadian-American comedian, writer, producer and political commentator. She’s also an actress and a media critic. In 2014, she became a US citizen while retaining her Canadian citizenship. When she was working as a waitress, she went to auditions for acting roles, and when she was 26 years old, she became part of a stage production of Sailor Moon. Bee was also one of the founders of The Atomic Fireballs, an all-girl sketch comedy troupe in Toronto.
In 2017, Bee was included on Time magazine’s list of 100 most influential people in the world. In this post, take a peek into the life of Samantha Bee as a TV personality.
