With the recent release of the ‘It’ movie, Stephen King, considered the master of horror and the supernatural, is once again hugging the limelight. Born in a humble town in Portland, Maine, King grew up reading short stories and comics in the horror genre. At a young age, he already showed his interest in the subject. He, later on, began writing for fun and sold his stories for profit.

In 1967, he published his first fiction horror story entitled “The Glass Floor”. That was just the start of his storied career, and he continued writing and contributed short stories to magazines while looking for inspiration for his novels. Now many of his novels enjoy huge popularity and readership around the world, with some being adapted into movies.
