Science Answers the Question: Do Nice Guys Finish Last?

In modern culture, it’s a common thing to say that nice guys finish last and that women are more likely to partner themselves with someone who lives on the edge, a bad boy, if you will. The notion leaves the nice guys alone and often in the dreaded “friendzone,” a relationship that can only be described as a “floating” status. You are someone who is more than a friend but less than a lover.

Many scientists and sociologists find the behavior baffling. Why in the world would women choose someone who does not treat her well over someone who does? We often find it illogical at least. Thankfully, we’ve compiled research that may help us discover the reason behind why or why not nice guys finish last.
