10 Cities Where It’s Almost Impossible to Live and Lose Weight
On the eve of every new year, we make resolutions to get better, keep ourselves fit, adopt a balanced diet and engage in physical workout. However, as the year progresses, the resolutions fade and the commitment goes away. Apart from your own resolution, the surrounding or the city where you live also can influence how likely you are to adhere to a whole new lifestyle. Researchers recently compiled the top 10 cities that make weight loss nearly impossible.
The famous Care.com engaged its researchers to survey the 89 largest metro cities in the US, monitoring the promotion of adopting an active lifestyle and good and healthy eating habits. The parameters used for analysis were openness to fresh and organic food, gym and health facilities per capita, walkability scores, and vegetable consumption, to name a few. In the survey, some of the cities didn’t perform well on our parameters, which makes it quite tough for the citizens residing there to stay fit.
As we all know, the city and its infrastructure, as well as its surroundings, are not going to stop you once you resolve to make yourself fit and healthy. With nutritious diet and regular exercise, one can stay happy as long as their body is happy.
You must be curious whether your city makes it to the list of areas that offer next to nothing when it comes to losing weight and staying healthy.
